Georgia Driving Academy participates and is proud to offer financial assistance options to assist active duty service members, reservists, veterans, dependents, or spouses to receive high-quality CDL training.

These grants are designed to help recruit, train, and place veterans and their spouses in high-demand jobs within an industry that is vitally important to keeping our national economy moving forward. GDA is approved for participation in the various funding programs below offered through the Veterans Administration.

Military Veteran programs include:

  • Chapter 33 – Post 9/11 GI Bill®
  • Chapter 30 – Montgomery GI Bill®(MGIB)
  • Chapter 35 – Survivors and Dependents Educational Assistance Program (DEA)
  • Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA)

GI Bill® is a registered trademark of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). More information about education benefits offered by VA is available at the official U.S. government website at http://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill.

Most carriers know that employees with prior military experience have the discipline, attention to detail, and organizational skills needed to be a successful truck driver. These characteristics, coupled with the extensive, hands-on CDL training you get at Georgia Driving Academy will make you a very desirable asset to both local and national trucking companies. We would be honored to talk to you about how we can help you achieve your career goals as you transition into civilian life.

Study hard. Apply what they teach and learn daily how to understand the truck and trailer and it’s movements and you’ll do fine. Have to apply yourself 110%. You get out of it what YOU put in. This isn’t a program for the slow learners! Great people all around.
